WHY UNDERWATER PHOTOGRAPHY ?

Being underwater is like entering a different world. As you dive into the vast blue, the weight and concerns of the world above disappear, bringing you back to the present moment. Everything feels pure, genuine and freeing. After a session of being gently rocked, it often feels revitalizing.

HOW MUCH AHEAD SHOULD I BOOK ?

Ideally a week or two prior ; it gives us time to properly discuss your vision.
For swim teams, I recommend weeks to months.

HOW EXPERIENCED I NEED TO BE AS A SWIMMER?

You need to be a comfortable swimmer. For younger kids or less comfortable swimmers, it’s essential to have an adult accompanying them in the water.

HOW LONG DO I NEED TO HOLD MY BREATH FOR ?

Breath holds are from 5-30 seconds depending on your ability.

I DON’T HAVE ACCESS TO A POOL. CAN YOU PROVIDE ONE ?

Yes, I have access to a pool in either Laval or Montreal, according to availability. If you want to shoot in your backyard or other locations, we can explore alternatives based on feasibility. pool fees are included in the price. Fees of 0,50$/km apply after 25 km of my based in Laval/Montreal

ARE WE SHOOTING IN AN INDOOR OR OUTDOOR POOL ?

May to September : Outdoor Pool
October to April : Indoor Pool (Pool rental fees apply, approximately $60/hour)
The pools have been meticulously selected, taking into account factors such as depth, lighting conditions, and tranquillity.

WHAT IF IT RAINS ?

If it rains, we can embrace Mother Nature’s spontaneity or reschedule. Rain shots can look beautiful! It depends what you had in mind and your flexibility in vision.

DO YOU PROVIDE ACCESSORIES ?

I do have a range of clothing and accessories for you to choose from, suitable for water use; dresses, skirts, scarfs, various fabrics, etc. If you want to bring your own, you are more than welcome!

WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO THE UW SHOOT ?

Bathing suits

HOW DO I PREPARE FOR A SHOOT ?

I recommend not eating 1-2 h prior and not drinking heavily the night before. It will facilitate your breath hold and make the session more enjoyable. I will provide you with guidance and tools to help you feel more comfortable and pose confidently in the water on the day of the shoot.

CAN I BRING A FRIEND OR PARTNER ?

Yes, that is possible! Whether it’s to observe, capture a few behind-the-scenes moments or lend a hand in the water, your friend or partner are welcome.

ARE THERE CANCELATION FEES ?

A $100 deposit will be retained upon cancellation. However, this deposit will be deducted from the booking fee if rescheduled within the upcoming month.
